Friday A ridge of high pressure building through Friday brings broken
cloud and sunny spells. There will be a few light showers in western
and southern areas of the British Isles, but dry for many. Through
afternoon, rain increasingly affecting the south of Ireland, gradually
more widespread into the later hours, and becoming heavy in the south
with very strong wind. Cloud will begin to develop more broadly over
England and Wales too. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 18C in southeast
England.
