Thu Sep 10: Friday A ridge of high pressure builds from the southwest. Remnants of overnight rain clears from East Anglia and the southeast early in the day. A few light showers during the morning for north Wales, northwest England and western regions of Scotland, fading. Sunny spells develop best in central, east and southern England, Ireland and eastern Scotland. A moderate west to northwesterly breeze, turning southwesterly later. Highs 20 to 23C south and east, 16 to 19C north and west.
