rain, briefly heavy, followed by brighter skies and sunny spells for
central and southern areas. Blustery showery rain will affect northern
and western regions, most frequent in western Scotland, drier eastwards.
Fresh westerly winds for many, strongest in the north. Highs at 16
to 24C, warmest far southeast.
